My Camping Experience in Lugnaquilla
This camping route would be not for the faint hearted there is a two and a half hour hike thought rough terrain and there is a large amount of planning needed. I didn't do all the planning needed so we had to do a bit of extra hiking which isn't a bad thing but we had to cut through a large field of bracken to get there this was slow going.
We parked a bit down the road from the main walking path and walked up the mountain road. We did this for a mile or two. We then cut across to the other path and continued up the mountain. We then continued into the valley where we found the camping spot. There was a small lake that was very cold and the ground around it was quite boggy so I had to find a good spot to put the tent.
The hike out was same in distance but much faster as we were walking along mountain roads the whole time. This was good for the morning as we had an easy hike out.
Over all this was a good hike is you want a challenging hike with a good place to camp. The short walk out was also very handy if you have to be somewhere in the morning.
sounds cool
